Changes to Time Expire Pyrotechnics
After 31 December HM Coastguard premises will no longer accept outdated or expired flares and you will therefore need to find alternative compliant disposal sites after this date. You can find your nearest registered disposal point on the Green Blue Environmental facilities service from British Marine and the Royal Yachting Association at https://bit.ly/3joIQON
As a reminder, please do not turn up to HM Coastguard premises without a prior appointment in the meantime.
Damaged or out-of-date flares should never be used and should be disposed of safely as soon as possible.
